I agree with this response. I often think how nice it would have been to have
had a huge lump sum in the market and let it grow 45 years:
10K -> invested in high cap growth index fund like FSPGX: We'll use 10,11 & 12% though it has done much better:
45 Years Later no additional investments:
10% - $883,541
11% - $1,380,276
12% - $2,155,467
If he waits until he is 70:
10% - $1,453,699
11% - $2,386,380
12% - $3,915,831
