Was very possible and probably would have happened if not for that pick six at the goal line, BYU goes to a bowl game and the whole perception is different. Huge win over the Sooners in year one.

BYU also, could have beaten Oklahoma State and kept them out of the Big12 title game. They were very close. Who knows if they would have went all the way down and scored if Rex had not fumbled on that last drive but they score and kick the extra point and they win.

Sooo close to winning both those games and also a very good Kansas team on the road.

Can you imagine the change in perception and optimism had they pulled out those wins? Or even just the Oklahoma game?
