My questions around Rising are as follows...
1. After two ACL tears does he still have the same speed, explosiveness, and everything else to be as effective as he was? While not a Taysom Hill level athlete he was always mobile enough and used his legs well to keep defenses honest and picking up key first downs and keeping the offense on the field.

1b. Does he mentally still have an edge or will those injuries change his decision making?

2. After two years of getting large NIL payouts does he still have the same drive? Lots of examples of athletes that get big pay days and maybe settle. Cam seems like a great leader so I don't think this will be the case but something to think about.

3. What are Cam's real goals right now? Is it to just have a great college season have an outside shot of making an NFL roster but if it doesn't work out he is OK with that? Or is his main goal to get to the league? I get these questions aren't mutually exclusive, however, Cam needs to show a number of things to teams to improve his stock. And that again could play into his decision making and play. Maybe he has improved in those areas, but who knows. We haven't seen him play in 18 months. Can he stay in the pocket and make those NFL type passes and not run after the first read isn't there? Can he hit the long ball with more consistency? Cam is really good on short and intermediate passing but not as much on deep throws. Does he want to try and show that, or just play his game? It is not uncommon for young QB's trying to prove something they aren't and struggle.

This is not a post that I think Cam is a bad QB. I think he is a really good college QB. But I think these are fair questions and are the difference between Utah going 8-4 and them going 10-2 or 11-1.
