I think some of the negative commentary on CB is due to the fact that some shows are just not geared for guys.
Take Red for example. A animated film geared towards girls growing up, their periods and other teenager stuff.
I've only seen it once and with me not really being the target audience I'm not sure how useful of a movie it is or isn't but part of me thinks it could be helpful to girls.
Onward seems like a movie geared for kids that grow up without a parents and not the traditional family that probably a lot of us enjoy. Obviously you don't have to have that particular life experience to enjoy Onward because it is full of brotherly adventure that I imagine a lot of guys can relate to.
Inside out and inside out to show show childhood transitions and then puberty transitions. I think it does a great job helping kids and teens recognize different types of feelings they can expect growing up and that all types of feelings are ok.
I thought it did a great job showing how paralyzing anxiety can be. I'm also glad they Disney didn't feel the need to get into gender dysphoria or other LGBTQ+ stuff in a kids movie.
