The business model is to staff as many BYU-H students as possible to help them pay for their education. These are students from Polynesia who don't have many other alternatives for higher education. Many return to their islands using their experience and education to build the community and church.

The prices aren't a product of corporate greed, but the PCC is still subject to the market and what people are willing to pay. If they are charging that much money, it's because enough people are willing to pay it. Yes, there are still some standard business expenses, but as much as possible is going to fund student education.
