Rental Property Tax Deduction Question

A rental townhome that we own has a water softener. Can I deduct the salt I purchase myself and give to the tenants from taxes?

I buy 4 or 5 bags at a time along with air filters for the furnace. Probably $85

It’s a legitimate expense for your rental. No problem deducting that.
