was at their best when running the action off of Kahlifa on the perimeter. That action would have been so much more dangerous if Khalifa could have dove to the rim when they overplayed the action or handed the ball off to a guard, set the pick and then rolled. He didn't move so well, Atiki didn't quite have the game IQ to pull it off, and Fouss wasn't a threat at the rim off the pnr.

Nobody is saying Fouss isn't good or that he wont get his minutes. He is and he will. Just saying he doesn't fit the offense very well. I wasn't in the room when KY and Davis had their chat but I expect this was the focus of the conversation. I also assume the same conversation was had with Fouss but probably more nuanced as Fouss is a senior and not an incoming freshman. Will they have sets for him, absolutely. Will he beat up on some guys in the low post, yes. Will there be matchups that he can exploit, no doubt. Is he an odd fit for the offense that we will most likely feature, also a yes. Love Fouss, hope he scores even more this year and finishes strong.
