I just priced out the equivalent of my truck in 2024. My 2001 Supercrew 4x4
XLT with towing package and few other minor extras cost me $33K out the door in 2000. Today, it would be $63-$64K.
It's nothing fancy and lacks a lot of bells and whistles. Just a good, solid truck for towing and fitting a few bodies in the cab.

I still go to ones that don't play that game. It may all be anecdotal, though

1. Buy any year Camry. 2. Send one child to VoTech for auto repair. 3. YouTube.

It sounds like you are blaming the mechanic for your vehicle problems
