I agree there was quite a bit of a drop off in the excitement of the movie once the two main characters meet.

I do like the focus on the positive relationship that formed in the movie. Many of these movies show the ugliness of human nature and this one did not. That was a refreshing change. It made me think quite a bit and I like that about the movie.

That being said, the cat would have scratched the heck out of that guy when he jumped in the water either of the times that they were swimming.
