I shake my head and cringe every time I hear (or read on CB) someone proclaiming car X the best because it's resale value at some point in the future will be slightly higher than cars A, B, & C. 

What's the point of buying a vehicle you'd rather not have, just because it might fetch $500 more than the one you really like, IF you sell it at some future date? To me, it's a dumb reason to by a vehicle.

Whatever type of vehicle you're considering, be it sedan, SUV, Pickup, whatever, go out and look at them all. Drive them. The buy the one YOU LIKE MOST. You're buying this for you, to meet your needs and wants. 

Why in the world would you settle for your second or third choice just because the resale might be a little higher at some point in the future??? Makes no sense to me at all.
