There were a number of people who left after the Jonas Brothers were done performing. I basically didn't watch any of the fireworks because I was intently focused on the canons just in case I needed to shield my kids. The whole time I just kept thinking we should just leave. luckily my kids are young enough that they had no idea what happened and were oblivious to everything.
I am not advocating for anything here, but I know everyone around me felt the same. It was hard to enjoy the show because you were just waiting for something to go wrong. A lot of PTSD. Every time one of the fireballs went off, or loud bangs, everyone was extremely jumpy. I am sure if we go again next year, I won't feel the same because enough time will have past, but the fireworks display was hard to get through for my wife and me.
