I love Blink and this is my 11th time seeing them, but first since 2004. I saw them the first time in Vegas at the Rainbow Library in 1995. They opened for Unwritten Law and Goldfinger.
As much as I’ve loved them since I was 15, I’ve known they were terrible live, but they’re fun and bring back some amazing memories of growing up.
But, holy balls….i guess that Malcom Gladwell theory of 10,000 hours is true. They were really fricking good. Great with their instruments and could actually stay on key-ish. I was really surprised. I wish they would have played more off their first 3 albums, but oh well. Glad my wife guilted me.
I’d see them tomorrow night if I could.
P.S. Pierce the Veil is solid live. I have heard their music before but didn’t think it would translate to a concert. Another big surprise.
PPS I was in a row with 15 people my age and 6 people under the age of 20. After 3 songs the young kids sat down and us old people sang and danced through the entire concert.
