Good point. Perhaps a more apt comparison is where they both were coming out of
High School with regards to their high school recruiting rankings and/or scouting reports.

From that perspective, Walter was rated "98" by 247Sports as the #8 prospect (#1 SG) in the country. His composite rating (which averages out the ratings of different sites) was 0.9968 which made him the #9 prospect (#1 SG) in the country.

He was also listed at 6'5" 180 lbs and basically was scouted as being a ball-dominant guard with good size, length, and strength allowing him to be a volume scorer and a talented 2-way player.

Edgecombe is rated "99" by 247Sports as the #5 prospect (#1 SG) in the country. His composite rating is .9989 which makes him the #4 prospect (#1 SG) in the couuntry by that metric.

He is also listed at 6'5" 180 lbs and is scouted as an athletic wing scorer who plays above the rim. He is touted for his speed and athleticism, but is still a little bit of a work in progress when it comes to developing guard skills (ball-handling, passing, etc.).
