Depends on what is buried in the fine print. There are a lot of extended warran
warranties that have all kinds of conditions relating to basic maintenance where if you don't follow the maintenance schedule in the warranty, it voids the warranty. For example, I looked at one that required (1) I change the oil every 3000 miles, and (2) retain all the receipts for oil changes, even though my oil life indicator on the car only had me changing it every 6000-8000 miles. I've heard horror stories of someone going 3200 miles between oil changes, and the warranty company denied their warranty claim.
