The American Dream has long been a single family home.
Most younger people I know don’t own one, and feel like they never will. This is a different problem than constantly upgrading McMansions. That was more of a baby boomer idea.
Owning a single family home has been the motivator for generations, I worry that young people feel this isn’t available to them anymore, and the impact that will have on the economy and the creation of new families.
