You can pull them off the wall. The wires seem to be connected fine. But it would be weird if both thermostats had wire
issues at the same time. And it's weird the display was working but then suddenly stopped working.
It's probably some stupid, mundane thing that's easy to fix but I'll end up get an AC guy out here because I need it to work and I'm mechanically inept.

You can charge them via usb. They should be getting power from the furnace but it’s a vampire charge not a dedicated
