Anyone understand why Wazzu and Oregon St. joined the WCC for most Olympic
sports and basketball, rather than the Mountain West? It seems a bit strange, especially since they made a scheduling agreement with the MWC for football. It seems like it would have been more straightforward to just join the MWC for all sports except football, and have a scheduling agreement with them for football, like Notre Dame has done with the ACC.
