Grit and "will over skill" combined with Bronco caring more about effort than
anything sound good in a way, but when a QB knows he won't be pulled from a game no matter how many times he turns the ball over is ultimately just a waste of everyone's time. Effort isn't even a good character trait if doing it right doesn't matter.

And Scalley's comment was in a locker room to his teammates in what would ordinarily be private. Hall's was in front of press microphones and cameras purposely and consciously being sent out to the public. Scalley stopped at "I hate them," Hall didn't. They're not the same.

Rival fans will always inflate the other teams flaws while minimizing their own, so fan reactions are always double standards.
