has no experience coaching national teams in big international tournaments. Klopp has had good success at the club level, but has never coached at the national team/international level, to my knowledge. Coaching international teams is a very different animal to coaching club teams, even at the highest levels. All else being equal, I would rather bring in a coach who has experience doing this.

Having said this, he would be a big upgrade on any head coach the US has ever had (Jurgen Klinsmann being the only one that comes close, arguably), and on the current coach. So I say go for it. Unless you can get Marcelo Bielsa (or someone like him) instead.
