By this logic, BYU is expected to go 2-7 in conference play.
If they go 3-6, that would be above expectation, and would put them into a bowl if they can go 3-0 in OOC games.
I think the most likely this for BYU this year is 2-1 in OOC games, and 3-6 in conference, replicating a 5-7 season.
Disappointing, but basically par.
If they can go 3-0 in OOC, I think they beat expectations and go 4-5 in conference, with a 7-5 record. That would be really good.
