there is a sinkhole that has been growing in my front yard for the last 15 years. a friend of mine works for the water company and told me that my pipe that goes out to the street probably broke and little bits of dirt have been falling into the pipe and floating down the pipe to the street main. little by little the sinkhole has gotten bigger.

this morning my toilet wont flush. i used a 50 foot auger in the basement and it flushed a few times, now it's clogged again.

i am thinking of digging down to the pipe and fixing it.

do i have to worry about power lines? it's pretty much in the middle of the yard. my house is in lehi, if that matters.

any help would be appreciated.
