So, we were on our way back from Bear Lake this past weekend and my boys wanted Taco Time. Now, to set the stage, the Taco Time in Evanston is in a run-down gas station with disgusting bathrooms and a general low-brow feel about it. In times past when we went there I am sure I had more teeth than the entire staff of the Taco Time combined.

So, we walk in and there are about 8 people hanging around the counter. I ask if anyone is in line and they all tell me they are waiting for food, so I go up to the counter. I see a teenager working the drive-through and a woman in the back stuffing bags with food. After waiting for about 10 minutes the teenager finally came up to the counter and took our order. It came to $28-ish and we sat down. We sat there for about 30 minutes and none of the people there had gotten their food. Finally, one guy got up and said "I can't wait any longer. I want my money back", and then all heck broke loose. The un-seen cook in the back came up and threw a complete tantrum, throwing two soft tacos at customers, one hitting a guy. The cook went on a swearing rampage, teaching my son, who is in Jr. High, new words he didn't even know existed! We were told we were all terrible white people and basically where we could stick it. We were then informed that it wasn't a fast food restaurant. The manager (the woman) tried to reign him in and send him to the back, to no avail, then started in on a customer (the one that got pegged by the soft taco) for videoing everything on his phone. Pandemonium broke out and all the customers, returning the obscenities', crowded the counter demanding their money back, all while the cook was shouting back.

My boys and I got up and left, and I told the staff to enjoy my $28. I am currently contesting the charge through my bank.
