Here is GoMo's double standard...
One of his biggest criticism's of BYU is that they kick people out and ask questions later (according to him). "I believe in forgiveness, but apparently the Lord's University doesn't" is the basic gist of his complaint.

This article talks about the repurcussions of Morgan's choice of words... his salary was cut in half, he list the "coach in waiting" title. In other words... "forgiveness" wasn't immediate or without consequences. Scalley had to suffer those consequences, then prove that he was sincere before his prior status (and salary) were restored.

BYU (except in rare circumstances) doesn't kick anyone out the first time they get caught. They work with the person. It's only when the person doesn't seem to get it because he/she keeps doing the things they shouldn't that expulsion is necessary. But in those cases - there is (almost always) a path back to BYU.

GoMo is fine with Scalley's consequences. He's not fine with the same thing when it comes to BYU.
