After Alvin Twitchell left to coach basketball in Colorado, CJ Hart who was the favorite to be the next head coach, along with Physical Education Director Eugene Roberts, were invited to Knute Rockne’s coaching camp in south bend. Rockne is one of the greatest football minds and has the best winning percentage in Division 1 football history. He was also one of the first people to introduce the forward pass.
