My wife’s mother and 3 sisters grew up in Hiko Nevada in the 50’s and 60’s
It was a dairy farm. They had windows blow out from shock waves from time to time.

3 oldest of them died early of cancer and my MIL had brain tumors (she moved to Payson when she was 13 so didn’t get as much exposure.)

Interesting though that their mother who lived there too had no cancer and lived to a very old age so I’ve wondered if it was harder on kids growing up and drinking lots of milk.
