me, the most iconic thing about the BYU unis, that no one seems to comment about, is not the royal color, but it is the 3 different sized stipes on each shoulder. When I see that, I think BYU nostalgia. The two stripe with the "Y" is also a cool look for that one game, but the 3 stripes, although subtle, and not really mentioned in uni conversations, are what I think people almost subconsciously recognize as vintage BYU, IMO. They see the "royal" color, but that's not the icon, IMO.
