Lalas is right, except I think this generation is worse.

Past teams made up a huge talent gap by a lot of grit that this team doesn’t have. They could find ways to score that this generation can’t. And they certainly don’t have great goalkeeping that they had in the past.

So these guys may be more skilled, but they don’t do anything well enough to be good like we want to be.
