His other issue is that he just doesn’t have a good sense of what he’s capable of since coming back. He desperately wants to be a multi threat player on offense, but aside from the occasional nice pass, he’s just not physically capable.

Whether he helps the mavs or torpedoes them will come down to whether or not he’s willing to accept his limitations. He needs to pattern his game after late career ray Allen and admit his days as anything more than a spot up shooter are over.

Most importantly, on nights when he’s not hitting threes, he needs to resist his temptation to see missed shots as a reason to shoot more (and dumber) shots.

Maybe a change of scenery helps his consistence and maybe he doesn’t get the freedom he had at GS. If so, it might be a good move. He can still light it up as well as anyone in the nba not named curry and to do it at his size is a huge asset
