BlooCoug Intervention Needed
Keeping Jay Hill is definitely an upside. The downside is that Scalley is in the
same mold as Whittingham: good coach, hard nosed, smart, and active LDS. This will create stiffer competition for elite LDS athletes, which, frankly, is not good for BYU.

The good news is that now that BYU is P4 and in the same league as Utah, the Utes won’t have that card to play anymore. In addition, financial resources will be mostly equal now. So it will not be the same dynamic as when Utah was in a P5 league and BYU was wandering the land of Independence. We should be able to compete much better for elite LDS athletes.
