It bodes well for future TV negotiations for the B12 to have competitors to ESPN/FOX enter the fray. TNT may be more interested in CFB now that the NBA will diminish and possibly leave their network altogether.
The Pac12 desperately wanted TNT to compete for their content, but they refused. It may not be because they weren't interested in CFB, but rather they were just not interested in the PAC12 (which was a smart move in the end). Knowing TNT, a legacy B12 TV network, could be an interested partner gives the B12 a bit more leverage they didn't have before this deal.
