My neighbor has an 18v mower and it seems to get the job done. He has complained a few times that his batteries don't last long if he goes too long without mowing.

The best part is, IMO, that I don't have to store gas cans in my garage and that I can fold up my mower and stand it on its end to store it, so it takes up a lot less space.
