the visitor’s center. They had a narrative and a video concerning Nephi Johnson. Nephi was her grandfather. The video and narrative explained how he was the first white man to go through Zion and he did it accompanied by an Indian guide. The Indians in the area thought Zion was haunted and inhabited by spirits. Nephi entered and went through Zion by himself as no Indian would accompany him. She tried to explain this to a park Ranger but he rejected it even though the information came directly from Nephi.
