ESPN gives him an A for what he did bringing in Sergachev and Marino. Sporting News and NYT gave him an A-. Going from essentially 1 Defensemen on our roster to getting a couple topline D gets us miles ahead of where we were. There is a lot of versatility with these two D-men that you can pair together or easily with your current RFA Sean Durzi.

The UHC rebuild is well ahead of schedule with these moves. We'll see what he does in FA, but a couple more depth pieces along the D mixing in some youth will go far. If we can get a true first line C this instantly becomes a playoff team next year.

So glad we didn't wait to get an expansion team.
