I think it's simple...
NBA players, for the most part, seem like the partying type, and you can't really party in Utah.

Hockey players, for the most part, seem more stable. Wife and kids. They don't want to party as much. And I've heard the players say that Ryan Smith is an incredible owner.

So it makes sense that hockey players would be good with moving to Utah. I could be wrong.
