He was the first QB I ever saw who could fire off 8 completions in a row like it was no problem. Defensive lineman were perplexed. I recall CSU came in with two pre-season all-American DL's and McMahon kept drawing one of them offsides with changing cadences. McMahon was smiling as the head coach substituted for one DL. McMahon was so fun to watch. Coach Edwards said he would one day lead his professional team to a super bowl. Even Steve Young believes McMahon was a magician.
