George Brett is a hero so I don't want to argue with him, but I do think he may be missing a couple things. 1) The LA
revolution has been combated pretty well with attacking up in the zone and a lot of the LA guys have regressed.
2) Strikeouts are up because pitching is so much better now than it was in GB's days that teams have realized the best way to score runs is with 1 homer rather than 3 singles.
3) A ton of great hitters still attack down at the ball and try to get back spin.
