Utah’s schedule look ahead/comparison to last season
Everyone in the media thinks Utah is going to be reallyyyy good. I don’t. Don't get me wrong, they will be average. Middle of the pack in the big 12. But they aren’t even going to be in the conversation for the conf. Championship, let alone the playoff. Let’s look at their schedule last season and compare it to this season.

1. Florida (finished the year 5-7) W
2. Baylor (3-9) W
3. Weber (FCS) W
4. UCLA (8-5) W
5. Oregon State (8-5) L
6. Cal (6-7) W
7. USC (8-5) W
8. Oregon (12-2. Utah lost 35-6) L
9. ASU (3-9) W
10. UW (14-1) L
11. Arizona (10-3. Utah lost 42-18) L
12. Colorado (4-8) W
13. Northwestern (8-5) L

Utah’s record was 8-5. 6 of those wins came vs either FCS or teams who finished under .500. I will give them credit by saying they had a very close game vs Washington, but other than that, they beat up on a REALLY crappy Pac 12. They got obliterated by Oregon and Arizona. I know their team was very injured, but everyone gets injured. It’s not an excuse. Now looking at their 2024 schedule, there is absolutely no way they are even close to contending for the Big 12 title. There are 4 games they are going to lose 100%, with a chance of 5 losses. They will lose to OSU, Arizona, UCF, BYU, and probably TCU. Yes, we are going to beat them. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but their starting quarterback has never finished a season healthy. I don’t expect that to change this year. I’m not hoping for that, but I’m 100% expecting someone else to finish the season at QB.
