The length is the box length. The model number will tell you the length of the
box and the style. A 28BHG is a 28' box in a bunkhouse (BH) configuration, and is the 7th floor plan (G) the manufacturer has produced in the BH configuration. The tongue adds another 3-4 feet to the overall length.
