but the picks broke their way and they ended up getting players they wanted without giving up assets. I can't remember which draft that was. But it seemed like that was the case tonight as well, and Andy Larsen is now reporting that. Who knows which players will end up being good out of this draft. But if you do your due diligence as a team, you have to trust your evaluations. If you can get guys you have ranked high on your board without giving up assets, then it's a good draft outcome.

Some Jazz draft night notes as we wrap up the night:

1. Jazz did explore trading up, but after No. 5 pick, Jazz felt confident they were going to get a player they wanted at 10. Same happened as the draft hit the early 20s... they knew they were going to get someone good at 29.

4. Jazz could have moved up or out at No. 29 (there were trade offers for the pick) — but the Jazz's FO models said they would get most value out of staying put. They felt Collier improved his TOs during the season at USC. Jazz say they're fine with Collier's shot mechanics.
