A hit, I don't think many if any could actually do that.
The speed it takes to make the decision as to swing and where to swing is too fast for most anyone other than elite athletes or those who have practiced and honed this skill.

Doing a google search it says you have between 125 and 225 milliseconds to decide to swing or not. Then it takes your body 25 milliseconds to recognize the decision, leaving 100-200 milliseconds to execute the swing to get the bat where it is needed to actually make contact.

I would say most of us wouldn't even see the ball coming out of the pitcher's hand in time to make that decision. And if you did, what are the chances you actually have the bat in the right spot to make contact, let alone actually get a hit. Even knowing the pitch they are throwing, doesn't mean it ends up in the same place every time.

You see players who do this for a living swinging and missing big time on off speed pitches etc. on a daily basis. Those of us that don't do this and have that skill would be like that pretty much all of the time.
