Ron Holland v Matas Buzelis - why the difference in big board positions?
Buzelis has a big board/mock draft consensus of about pick #5, Holland about #10. But it seems that Holland's position is being bolstered by some random draft analysts, while some media with actual connections are mocking him lower than 10 while Buzelis is rarely falling past 5 or 6.

Buzelis - 6'8.75" w/o shoes, 6'10" wingspan, 8'9.5" standing reach, 31" standing vert, 38" max vert

Holland - 6'6.5" w/o shoes, 6/10.75" wingspan, 8'8" standing reach, 30" standing vert, 38" max vert

Buzelis supposedly has a clearer path to offensive contribution, even though he shot 2% worse from 3 than Holland (on the same # of attempts/gm) and had a much lower ast% while playing on the same team. It seems agreed upon that Holland definitely has the better motor and is the superior and more willing defender.

I'm not seeing it. What am I missing?

Well. BGRTHNUMEGO absolutely nailed this. Every mock out there had Buzelis ahead of Holland. (RdF3, Jun 26, 2024 at 8:45pm)
