Hey, I'm so sorry our dog got out. We will try to do better at not letting that happen.

Hopefully you guys can put all your effort into making sure your dog can't get out. Fix holes in the fence. Put wire where your dog digs it's way out. Or get a gps shock collar that won't let the dog off your property without a good shock.

Nevermind the dog haters on this board. They will take every opportunity to shame you for having a dog that got out. But also, don't give them ammunition. Without any context one could assume that you really don't care that your dog roams the neighborhood and poops in the neighbors lawn. I hope that's not the case.
