I suppose you can try, but I imagine it will be an uphill battle now that school is done and grades are in.
Just a thought, but it could be a good learning opportunity for your kid that sometimes life just isn't fair and even when you do everything right, you don't always get the desired outcome. Your kids will get a B sooner or later, whether it's now or in college. Some kids have a tough time emotionally accepting that and break down. You might consider some of the tradeoffs you're making.
