with 3 games that would be very tough, being texas, lsu, and bama. however OU can obviously win those and typically does. OU is 8-2 against SEC teams that did not win the SEC since 2000. the losses were to teams that finished 2nd in the SEC. OU also has the 2nd best win percentage against SEC teams all time, and against tougher teams on average than anyone else in the SEC. most of our SEC games were either championship games or NY6 games, or games against teams that are in the top half of the conference on average.
then you have 3 difficult but still normal P5 games with ole miss, tennessee, and missouri. all of which have been good for a couple years and 2 of which are the type of team that’s good for a couple years and then goes back to being awful. ole miss hit the lottery with their transfers last year. do they hit the lottery twice in a row? doesn’t seem sustainable to me.
then you have 6 basically gimme games. OUs schedule is also balanced extremely well. only once do we play 2 good teams back to back, which is bama and lsu at the end of the year.
