I'm curious as to what the "made up carp" is and why you don't believe it. Not trying to attack here, I'm truly interested in your perspective. My experience is that even if there is a "made up" story, the person experiencing the offense many times is conditioned to hear things that maybe were not intended. I see it as a "burnt child, who dreads the fire". You never know.
