My partner is retiring in a couple weeks and I’d like to get him something nice. He has been a wonderful partner and has put me in a position where I should be set for life in my career, so I’m willing to spend some money, maybe $500 or even $1000.

I’m not a golfer, but he is a big golfer, member of the local country club, plays in occasional tournaments. I have no idea what a golf-related gift would be.

I am a big Disneyland fan (we live ~4 hours away) and he doesn’t care about it much, but when I’ve gone, he’s mentioned he ought to take his young grandchildren there at some point. So I thought maybe I could get him some Disneyland tickets.

Which would be a better option? Any other ideas on a good retirement gift?
