They can't make up rivalries anymore.
They can't pretend that they belong in conversations with teams like USC and Washington just because they are in the same room.
They can't pretend to be better than BYU because they got invited to the Pac12 to fill out schedules like WSU and Oregon State.
They can't stand knowing they aren't going to play against west coast teams anymore and have to play schools where sports matter. No more Stanford or Cal games with empty stadiums.
