lots of good food.
I’d do Balboa Island area - kayak around there or rent one of the funny boats (can’t remember the name). Make sure you do Crystal Cove tide pools or Treasure island beach tide pools. Laguna Beach has their art festivals (sawdust and pageant of the masters) that can be pretty cool. Go play golf (9 holes) and eat at The Ranch in Laguna Beach.
Depending on when you’re there, there’s lots of stuff going on. San Juan Capistrano has their swallows parade. They have a huge horse area where they host events. You could do sailing lessons in Dana Point. I’d try surfing if you haven’t yet. Also the tide pools in Dana Point can be awesome and they go for forever.
For boogie boarding and kid friendly beach, go to T Street in San Clemente. They used to have the awesome snack shack there (don’t know if they still do. Also walk up and down Del Mar in San Clemente. Cool street with shops and good food.
