They either have the absolute best of the one-and-dones (i.e. top 3 draft picks) like Brandon Miller, Chet Holmgren, and Paolo Banchero OR the one-and-done players on their team are not the key components to their roster but they are relying on upperclassmen to be the leaders on the team (i.e. Stephen Castle and UConn this year). I don't point out the numbers here to try and say that having one-and-done players on the team is bad. All I'm saying is that having one-and-done players as the focal point and expected leaders of your team is generally not a winning strategy when it comes to CBB.
