Vivian park, lakes up near Payson, electric lake.
Provo river is good practice but it’s heavily fished so they are very picky on presentation.

Strawberry. Don’t know if I’d start in a lake though

I thought lake because there’s less brush, my friend has never flyfished at all.

You need a lot more gear to fly fish lakes but if you have it, great

Strawberry river isn't too bad - if it's open.

Strawberry is probably the answer but only if you’ve got a boat of some sort.

Wait for the white bass spawn and your beginner friend will catch a bass every cast on the lower Provo
